Water Village is conceived as a premium resort and residential destination shaped by Trojena’s lake, wadi, and dramatic mountain topography. A layered mix of luxury hotels, apartments, chalets, and private mansions creates distinct neighborhoods while preserving uninterrupted relationships with water, landscape, and horizon.
Water Village begins with Trojena’s most powerful natural condition: the meeting of mountain and water. Rather than treating the site as a conventional resort plot, the master plan is structured as a sequence of landscape experiences—lakefront arrival, active wadi, terraced hospitality, and secluded mountain living. The architecture follows the contours of the terrain, stepping across buildable slopes and opening toward panoramic lake and mountain views. In this way, the development becomes part of the landform itself: a composed but natural extension of the valley, where every journey moves between enclosure and openness, intimacy and spectacle. The project’s identity is not defined by a single landmark, but by the cumulative experience of descending toward the water, moving along the wadi, and rising again into the mountain community.
The development is organized as a family of distinct yet interconnected neighborhoods. At the lake edge, the Water Village Hotel, residential apartments, retail, and hospitality terraces establish the most active and sociable setting, with direct access to promenades, marina facilities, and waterfront leisure. Moving uphill, chalets and ultra-luxury mansions occupy quieter terrain, positioned to maximize privacy while maintaining commanding views toward the lake, wadi, and surrounding peaks. The boutique hiking hotel is placed as a more exclusive destination on the southern slopes, extending the experience beyond the waterfront and into the mountain landscape. Three principal public-realm nodes create different encounters with the site—one focused on the lake, one on the wadi, and one on the mountains—giving each part of the master plan a clear character and narrative.
The design balances exclusivity with a carefully activated public realm. The wadi edge becomes a social and experiential spine, animated by retail, dining, leisure, and mixed-use frontages, while the lakefront supports events, recreation, and year-round hospitality. Roads and infrastructure are reconfigured around flatter, more buildable land to improve access and reduce intervention on the steepest slopes, while protected wadi zones remain integral to the project’s ecological and spatial identity. Across a land area of approximately 973,695 square metres, the enhanced program brings together premium residential, hospitality, retail, and experiential uses within a low-density mountain setting, with a maximum proposed GFA of 386,589 square metres. Water Village ultimately expresses the YAAM philosophy through a clear story of place: architecture is shaped by the terrain, luxury is defined through connection to nature, and every space is designed to frame a different relationship between the mountain and the lake.
