The Oasis Development is envisioned as a transformative destination that will redefine Buraydah’s urban identity, bringing together tourism, culture, business, and vibrant public life within a landmark mixed-use district. Designed around walkability, connectivity, and a dynamic multi-level public realm, the project creates a seamless urban experience that connects the city center, traditional market, and new destinations through an integrated network of streets, transit, and public spaces.
Sesto San Giovanni grew from an industrial suburb into a diverse, metropolitan city—yet the railway corridor still behaves like a hard edge, splitting neighborhoods and turning “the other side” into a destination rather than part of daily life. The project starts with a simple urban truth: when movement is interrupted, civic life thins out. THE BRIDGE addresses the Oasis Development, which is envisioned as a regional tourist destination that will further Qasim’s reputation as one of the most desirable and exciting cities in KSA. Poised as a landmark game-changing project, the Oasis Development District will re-imagine how Buraydah grows in the future, providing a truly urban mixed-use, transit-oriented development, enhanced by an animated, walk-able public realm. At a total build-out of over half a million square meters, Oasis Development will be comprised of five key uses: office, residential, hotel, retail, and entertainment.
This balance of uses will ensure the master plan’s full utilization of the infrastructure as well as providing an onsite population to ensure 24 hour vitality. oasis development will seed the transformation of buraydah from a city of travellers . The implementation of the built form is tested by applying the parameters of the master plan and proposed urban design guideline on the downtown district. The detailed diagrams (sective) shows the various experience with the multi-leveled public realm of downtown experience and the potentials of integrating multiple types of urban experience in our coherent urban system.
As well as it shows the pedestrian movement experience around the project using the covered roads and the smooth transition and access form buraydah downtown towards the traditional market. A major transportation node were demonstrated in this area which shows the drop off, dedicated bus rout & stops, service lane, structure parking entrance and exist, crossing area for pedestrian and pedestrian paths.
